High performance and innovative body-mapping design: The O’Neill FWC’Peak Fire Snow Jacket merges sustainability with lightweight warmth, flexibility, and breathability.

Award-winning body-mapping technology: the O’Neill FWC’Peak Fire Snow Jacket.

How do you create a jacket that excels in extreme weather conditions while minimizing environmental impact? For decades, the Original Northern California surf brand O’Neill has been dedicated to innovating in the world of surf and snow—enabling you to enjoy your playground longer and more consciously. O’Neill’s new FWC’Peak Fire Snow Jacket delivers weather protection and performance in fit, fabric, and function while reducing the environmental impact. The jury of the ISPO Award 2024 honored this innovative gear with the coveted award.

The FWC’Peak Fire Snow Jacket features the new V-Design Body Mapping technology, offering smart thermoregulation that adapts to the body temperature needs and provides lightweight comfort, a combination that is transforming the all-mountain riding experience. Drawing inspiration from O’Neill’s innovative wetsuit V-Design Body Contour construction patented several decades ago, the V-Design Body Mapping technology, much like a wetsuit, functions as a barrier between riders and rugged elements. O’Neill’s Hyperfreak Fire wetsuit won an ISPO Award in 2022, and the 2024 award for the FWC’Peak Fire Snow Jacket again underlines O’Neill’s expertise in water and snow. The jacket’s V-Design Body Mapping technology is crafted with industry-leading Primaloft Active Evolve and Primaloft Black ECO insulations, providing adaptive temperature regulation, feather-light construction, breathability, and flexibility–all to enhance riders’ experiences and extend their time on the mountain.

Sustainability to the ore

Minimizing environmental impact was essential to the design process so durability and ecological responsibility are key to the O’Neill FWC’Peak Fire Snow Jacket. The use of recycled materials not only reduces waste but also conserves resources. This approach reflects O’Neill’s commitment to minimize the company’s overall impact. Constructed from a 30K/30K Super Stretch Twill that contains 60% recycled PET, the jacket features fully taped seams and a PFC-free DWR coating, while the Primaloft insulations are made from 100% recycled materials. The waterproof jacket also includes a Gear Aid repair patch, allowing consumers to easily repair their gear and enjoy it longer.

The 30K/30K Super Stretch Twill also has a smooth, high-quality feel, combining functionality with a premium look that features some color accents: Neon orange highlights throughout the jacket emphasize its cutting-edge technology while adding a sense of visual warmth. These accents not only enhance visibility in snowy environments but also add a vibrant, energetic feel that complements the advanced design and is sure to stand out both on and off the slopes.

Breathable, lightweight, and warm

The jacket also features loads of functional elements including multiple pockets, adjustable cuffs, and a helmet-proof hood designed for seamless integration with a helmet, ensuring practicality without compromising style. The 30K/30K Super Stretch Twill fabric allows moisture vapor to escape, preventing overheating during high-intensity activities. This breathability ensures you stay comfortable and dry, even when exerting yourself on the slopes. Despite its robust performance features, the materials used in the jacket are lightweight, allowing for easy movement and comfort without compromising on warmth or protection, making it ideal for active use.

At their meeting, the ISPO Award jury acknowledged the advantages of the jacket and decided to honor it with an ISPO Award 2024. The FWC’Peak Fire Snow Jacket will be available online starting October 2025.
